Chicago (That Toddlin' Town) : ウィキペディア英語版
Chicago (That Toddlin' Town)
"Chicago" is a popular song. It was written by Fred Fisher and was published in 1922. The original sheet music variously spelled the title "Todd'ling" or "Toddling." The song has been recorded by many artists, but the best-known version is by Frank Sinatra. One line mentions that evangelist Billy Sunday could not shut down Chicago.
The song was featured in H.C. Potter's 1939 film, ''The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle,'' starring Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. It was later performed by Sinatra in a 1957 movie in which he starred, ''The Joker Is Wild.'' The song was also featured in the opening and closing credits of the 1942 movie "Roxie Hart" starring Ginger Rogers and Adolphe Menjou.
